Eric Meeker lives in upstate New York where he operates a private glass studio, shepherds and is working to bring a retired farm back into production.
Meeker began working with glass at Penland School of Crafts in 2013. He continued his studies and graduated from the School for American Crafts at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
His sculptural work is based on his minds interpretation of the stories, people and places in his life. They are distilled and represented as images, sounds, movements, lights and colors. His functional work is inspired by mid century Fenno-Scandinavian designers, his love of whimsy and the design aesthetics imparted on him by his graphic designer father.
